2025 Voting Information

Every Vote Counts

Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 4. Early and absentee voting begins Friday, Sept. 19.

All voters must be registered before casting a ballot. You can register online before Nov. 4 to save time on Election Day. If you forget, Minnesota allows same-day voter registration at your polling place.

1. Early In-Person (Begins Sept. 19)

Vote early in person at the Big Lake District Office, located in Independence Elementary STEM (701 Minnesota Ave, Enter Door J):

  • Weekdays, 8am-3:30pm
  • Extended early voting hours will be available on select dates:
    • Wed, Sept. 24: 8am-6:45pm
    • Thur, Sept. 25: 8am-7:15pm
    • Fri, Sept. 26: 8am-6:15pm
    • Mon, Sept. 29: 8am-7:15pm

Important Question One Tax Impact Note

While the Question One ballot language must state there will be a tax increase, the increase will be offset by the reduction of other levies, resulting in no net increase to the district's tax rate for Q1.
