Big Lake High School Graduation Rates Far Exceed State Average

In 2018 Minnesota’s overall high school graduation rate reached 83.2% according to the Minnesota Department of Education. This is the sixth consecutive year where Minnesota’s graduation rates have improved. Beginning in 2012, Minnesota began using the federally-required adjusted cohort graduation rate model. This model follows students throughout high school and determines if they graduate within four, five, six or seven years.


The graduation rates for Big Lake High School are as follows:

4-year rate - 92.8%

5-year rate - 95.3%

6-year rate - 95.6%

7-year rate - 97.3%
