One Act Set to Perform "Icarus" on February 3rd

Looking for something to break up the monotony of the winter season? Come out to support the Big Lake One Act as they perform their production of “Icarus"!

All are invited to the friends and family production of “Icarus,” taking place on Friday, February 3rd at 7:30 pm in the Big Lake High School auditorium. Admission is free, but free will donations will be accepted. 

“Icarus,” a play based off the famous Greek myth of the same name, follows the father and son duo of Daedalus and Icarus. Daedalus is an inventor and architect who is determined to right his wrongs after committing a crime and being banished to Crete to serve King Minos. Icarus is his daring and precocious son, who pushes the limits in attempts to possess all the glories of the world around him. In this famous tragic tale, the father and son learn the hard way about the limits of mankind and the dangers of greed and excessive pride.

The cast will enter with "Icarus" into the Minnesota High School League's One Act Play competition. They will debut the play on Saturday, January 21st at the Mississippi 8 Festival at Monticello High School. The first competition is the 8AA subsections at Sartell on Thursday, January 26th.
