What is the PTO?
A non-profit, volunteer organization in which parents and teachers work together as a team to ensure continued educational excellence for our children.
Why was the PTO Created?
To develop better communication between the schools and community of Big Lake, to promote the idea of parents volunteering ideas and/or time, and to raise funds to purchase items or host events.
Who Can be a Member?
You are already a member of the PTO if your child attends either Big Lake elementary school.
When and Where Does the PTO Meet?
Meetings are held on the 2nd Monday of every other month (September, November, January, March, May) at 6:00 p.m. alternating between Liberty Elementary School's Media Center (September, January, May) and Independence's Community Room (November, March). Free childcare is available to any parent attending the PTO meeting in the Kids Club room.
