Get Involved - Volunteer

  • Big Lake Schools believes that strong community support and partnership is a key component to a successful school district and a thriving community. We highly encourage community members to get involved with our schools, and we are proud of the many ways Big Lake Schools gives back to the Big Lake community.

    PTO/PTSO

Parent Teacher Organizations (PTOs) and Parent Teacher Student Organizations (PTSOs) play an important role at each of our schools by providing extra resources and creating valuable relationships. PTOs help to create a partnership between teachers and parents for the benefit of all students. PTSOs help to create a partnership between teachers, parents and students for the benefit of all students. Big Lake's organizations meet every other month to discuss and organize fundraisers that help make events, programs and special purchases possible. Get involved with your child's education today! Check the calendar for when the next meeting is held.

    School Volunteer

Volunteers play an instrumental part in each of our buildings by helping to create a safe, creative and educational environment for our students to learn and grow in. Volunteers are needed for a variety of tasks in each of our buildings. You can volunteer for just one event, or be a volunteer who visits our schools daily. All volunteers are subject to a background check. We would love to have you in our buildings working with teachers, staff and students! For more information on our volunteer program, please review the volunteer handbook. Ready to volunteer?
