• Help Big Lake Families in Need!

If you want to help support our most struggling families, here are 3 ways to do so that will help ensure that the families will get exactly what they need! Thank you in advance for supporting our students.

    1. Buy an Item on our Amazon Wishlist:

The items on our Amazon Wishlist are collected by Building Social Workers/Building Homeless Liaisons and focus on needs of struggling families. Items bought will be shipped to our SEL Coordinator/District Homeless Liaison, who will get the item(s) to the Building Social Worker/Building Homeless Liaison to give to the student and their family.

    How to donate:

    1. Visit our Amazon Wishlist and make a purchase. Make sure to add your name, your organization (if applicable), and your address to the “gift details.” We need this information to fill out the donation form.

    2. Donate Gift Cards

Donate gift cards that families who need support can use to purchase items they need. Gift cards will be distributed to families by the Building Social Worker/Building Homeless Liaison, and will be equally distributed between buildings unless there are special circumstances unique to a building.

    How to donate:

      1. Drop off the gift cards in the Big Lake Schools District Office to the attention of the SEL Coordinator/District Homeless Liaison, Teresa Smock-Potter. Gift cards can also be purchased through our Amazon Wishlist. Make sure to share your name, your organization (if applicable) and your address. We need this information to fill out the donation form.

    3. Donate Cash or Checks

Make a cash or check donation. Your donation will be used towards whatever cause you would like to support, whether that is to help fund student meal accounts, provide resources for our school resource rooms, pay field trip/activity fees, or another cause of your choice. The SEL Coordinator/District Homeless Liaison will make sure the money gets deposited into the correct accounts.

     How to donate:

      1. Drop off the cash or check in the Big Lake Schools District Office to the attention of the SEL Coordinator/District Homeless Liaison, Teresa Smock-Potter. Donations to the Angel Fund (to fund student meal accounts) can also be made electronically. Make sure to share your name, your organization (if applicable) and your address. We need this information to fill out the donation form.

      2. Also, be sure to indicate what you would like the money to go towards:
