Big Lake Schools operates under a 1-1 device model, meaning that all students receive a school-issued device.  K-2 students receive iPads, and 3-12 students receive Chromebooks. Students in grades 6-12 may take their devices home, while K-5 students leave devices at school, except in the event of potential inclement weather related closings. 

Devices are distributed at the beginning of each new school year, and previously enrolled students will receive the same device they had the previous year. In order to receive a device, families must consent to follow the guidelines specified in the Technology Use and Safety Policy and complete the Device Agreement through the Infinite Campus Annual Updater.

We use a variety of digital tools to support student learning. Technology vendors and software products are utilized to support work as we help all students develop the skills necessary to succeed in an ever-changing world. 

Our digital tools document contains an inventory of our curriculum, testing, and assessment tools. It includes an outline of the student data elements within each tool. This list is maintained and will be communicated annually to all families at the start of the year.
