Enroll a New Student

The enrollment process can be completed entirely online. This seamless process allows you to save your progress and finish later if needed. Paper enrollment forms are available upon request.

We accept open enrollments at any time! Find the open enrollment form embedded within the online enrollment portal.

Please Complete our Census form if you:

recently moved into the Big Lake School District OR
adopted a child 0-5 years old (who is not yet enrolled in school) OR
had a new baby

This will ensure you receive important age-related mailings about early childhood screening, preschool, and kindergarten registration. Accurate Census data helps funding for our Early Childhood programs!

Simply fill out the Census form and submit it by email to census@biglakeschools.org. You can also mail it to/drop it off at the Community Education office (located inside Liberty Elementary School, 17901 205th Ave. NW).

Early Childhood & Preschool Information

Little Learners is our Big Lake school readiness preschool offered to three- through five-year olds. Learn more and register through Big Lake Early Childhood.

Have you recently moved into the district, adopted a 0-5-year old child, or had a new baby? Please complete our census form. This puts you on the list to receive important age-related information, including details of early childhood screening and kindergarten registration!

2026-27 Kindergarten Enrollment is open! Complete your registration today through the online enrollment portal. Complete the enrollment process by March 16 to be entered into a drawing for FREE school supplies!

Big Lake Online

Please note: Enrollment in Big Lake Online may only occur prior to every trimester, unless approved by the administrator. Students must register at least two weeks prior to the start of the next term.

New to the district and want to enroll in Big Lake Online?

Home School Information

f you have decided homeschooling is the best educational option for your child, complete the appropriate forms below and submit them to the Big Lake Schools District Office.

All forms are due annually on Oct. 1st, or within 15 days of withdrawing from public school.

Required Forms for New Homeschool Families:

Forms for Current Homeschool Families:

Letter of Intent to Continue to Provide Instruction: Required annually for all returning homeschool families.

Student Report for Aids to Nonpublic Students (Reimbursement form): This form must be submitted to receive reimbursement for eligible instructional materials and pupil support services. Receipts for reimbursements must be dated July 1-June 30 of the current school year and need to be provided to the district no later than June 30 of each school year.

Requests Forms for Materials, Health Services, and Counseling Services: Fill out this form if you would like to have access to materials, health services, or counseling services from Big Lake Schools.
