Fingarson Named Minnesota's High School Counselor of the Year

Jennifer Fingarson, a counselor at Big Lake High School, was recently named "Minnesota’s High School Counselor of the Year" in recognition of her outstanding excellence in public education.

This award, which honors counselors who have demonstrated exceptional skill and dedication, was presented at the Minnesota School Counselors’ Association Conference in Duluth on November 4, in front of an audience of over 400 educators. Fingarson was nominated by her peers, principal, and assistant principal, and was selected by a state-level committee as the 2024 recipient for her unwavering commitment to students during her 32 years of service in both teaching and counseling.
