On Wednesday, Feb. 26, BLMS held the annual school-wide History Day competition, showcasing months of hard work from our social studies students. Students presented their history day projects to volunteer judges, who then chose 24 groups, including 35 students, to advance and represent Big Lake in the regional competition.
History Day is a national program that encourages students to explore historical research. Students spent the year developing a research project revolving around this year’s annual theme: “Rights & Responsibilities in History.”
Congratulations to all participants for a job well done, and good luck to all regional competitors! The regional contest will be held on March 29 at St. Cloud State University.
