Big Lake High School announces leadership changes for 2026-2027
After 18 years as BLHS Principal and 32 total years of service to our district, Bob Dockendorf has officially announced his retirement. He will retire from his current role on June 30, 2026, but will remain with the district until his official retirement date of Nov. 21, 2026.

To fill his vacated role, we are pleased to announce that Shallyn Tordeur has been selected as the Principal of Big Lake High School, effective for the 2026-2027 school year.
Ms. Tordeur has served as our High School Assistant Principal for the past four years, and her familiarity and proven leadership will be invaluable as she transitions into this new role. Her hiring was formally approved by the school board at the February meeting.
