Big Lake Schools is proud that all of our elementary students attend music class every other day.  Students either have Ms. Hoover, Mr. Tulkki, or Ms. Chopard-Boge (Ms. C-B) as their teacher.  All three teachers have impressive backgrounds and education in the music field, but most importantly, these three teachers have a love of music that captivates students.

Students in 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade perform in one musical performance each year.  Please watch for information sent home with your student to know which performance your child will be in and the date and time.

Recorder Karate is a program that third - fifth grade students use to work through a series of songs that increase in difficulty. As they complete songs successfully, students earn "recorder belts". Students can also earn belts for helping other students, successfully using practice techniques, and working independently. Below are resources for students to use at home.
